Projecting the Impact of a Vaccine on Various Sectors and Countries
As pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, and BioNTech make strides toward developing and producing viable vaccines to provide immunization against the Covid-19 virus, it’s worthwhile from an investment perspective to assess which countries and economic sectors may experience outsize benefit from such a vaccine and how such benefits may vary based on the timing of vaccine distribution.
Of particular note will be the ability of the pharmaceutical companies and of government agencies to distribute the vaccine to areas with less-developed healthcare and transportation infrastructure. As the extent of such distribution capabilities is revealed, tactical investment opportunities may arise as pertains to specific geographic regions and the companies that operate in them.
